Character Journal Revamp
Character Journals have had a bit of a revamp and overhaul. Don’t worry though, they remain essentially the same as before.
On the character editing side of things the UX was streamlined, made more clear, and more reliable!
Now you will have just one tab in the Edit Character Journal page to add a new Journal, edit an old one, or delete one you do not need anymore. This eliminated the confusing multi tab system.
Save and Delete buttons have been made bigger and are easily identifiable at the end of the Journal Entry.
Autosave functionality has been fixed and improved. Autosave will check and save if it finds changes every 30 seconds. So still hit that Save Journal button if you want to be sure your new entry is saved! You might notice a small message when it autosaves at the bottom of the Journal where the spinning icon appears when you do save.
I hope this helps to ease things here and encourage more players to keep track of all that important stuff that is part of any game.
Changes to Character Journals
- Character Journals core has not been changed. It is still a WYSIWYG editor for rich text editing allowing a wide variety of formatting options and additional elements like tables or links.
- The New Journal tab has been removed. This functionality has been merged with the other tab for a single tab to manage all journals.
- Autosave message has been added at the bottom of the Journal. It will save every 30 seconds if it detects changes.
- Save button moved to the bottom and increased in size. Click it whenever you want to be sure your changes are saved.
- Delete button moved to the bottom and increased in size. Remember, deleting Journal entries is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Various CSS styling changes for consistency and readability.
As always, thanks for playing!
