Very little. If it is already dead. They just move up and chomp it. If it is alive, they leap at it and try to surprise their target.
They have been known to be used as garbage eaters. Innovative people have used them by starting a colony in a trash pit or other places where organic material can build up. They will eat almost anything and are not aggressive if they have plenty of food.
