- Carrion Caterpillars move around looking for dead creatures to eat. They follow large predators and are often found at the scenes of battle and conflict. They can be a scourge for cemeteries and are often killed or chased away from fresh graves.
- No Territory
- Carrion Caterpillars don't have any real territory for themselves but have been known to get very aggressive in trying defend their meals.
- Aggressively Hungry
- Carrion Caterpillars are not predators in the true sense of the word but they will kill animals themselves and eat them. This is usually a responsive to their seemingly insatiable hunger. They very much prefer to find already dead prey and feast on their rotting flesh. Some stories tell of adventurers being able to pass by groups of Carrion Caterpillars when they are feeding.
- Explosive Populations
- After battles or other calamities where many creatures have died and Carrion Caterpillars have feasted there is usually a sharp uptick in their population. They seem to aggressively reproduce after a feast. Many eggs are usually buried around these areas so their young have dead flesh to feast on as well.
